Library Services (LLC): Course Reserves

Help finding things in GRCC's Library & Learning Commons

Course Reserves at the Circulation Desk

Connect to Course Reserves from the library homepage, OR, when searching [RaiderSearch Catalog], select the [More Searches] menu then choose [Course Reserves] to search for your class, OR,  [Course Instructor] to search by your professor's name.

Course Reserve

Instructors place materials onto Course Reserves to ensure that all students have access to the required readings. Ask for Course Reserve titles at the Circulation Desk. They're usually available for two hours and must be used in the library. A few items, however, are on reserve with unique loan periods set by the instructor.

TIP: A good first-day-of-school practice is to ask your instructor if items will be placed onto the library's Course Reserve. While students are expected to purchase and read all required textbooks, sometimes a professor places recommended (not required) titles onto Course Reserve, and you can save money by using Course Reserve.

Textbooks on Course Reserves

Our goal is to provide access to as many textbooks as possible through Course Reserve.  Textbooks may be checked out for 2 hours at a time for use in the Library.  We have over 500 textbooks, including all the textbooks for courses in:
