The American Psychological Association database for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books, and dissertations. This is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health. Full-text articles from PsycARTICLES are contained in PsycINFO.

Tip: In the Advanced Search function, type in your search term, then select [Select Subjects or Titles] and click on the box in front of the word "Medicine". That will limit your results to entries in medical reference books.
